These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TaskShelf, operated by TaskShelf LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using TaskShelf, you agree to these Terms.
1. Using the Service
You must be at least 16 years old to use TaskShelf. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
2. Your content
You own the content you create in TaskShelf (tasks, projects, comments, files). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal or to violate others' rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or workspaces
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service (including its infrastructure or other users' use of it)
- Use automated means to access the Service outside of the documented public API
4. Availability
We aim to keep the Service reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
5. Plans, payment and refunds
TaskShelf is a paid subscription. Which plan a workspace is on is decided by how many people are in it, not chosen. Every plan includes the entire product, and the price reflects team size only. Prices are shown before tax; local tax is added at checkout and shown before you pay. You are charged in US dollars.
Payment is handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record. They process your card details (we never receive or store them), and your card statement, receipt and invoice show their name rather than ours.
Every plan starts with 7 days free. No card is required to start. If the trial ends without a paid subscription, the workspace becomes view-only until you choose and pay for a plan. One free trial is available per person, not per workspace. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period, and we email you before every renewal.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then, and we do not refund the remainder of a period you have used. If you change your mind, we refund any payment in full within 7 days of it being taken, no questions asked; to request one, email support@taskshelf.app.
If a payment fails we keep retrying for about two weeks before anything about your workspace changes. If a subscription ends, the workspace becomes read-only: everyone can still open it, read and search everything, and export the data, for as long as the account exists. Nothing is deleted because a plan ended, and editing resumes as soon as a plan does.
Going over your plan's team-size bracket never blocks anyone and never triggers an automatic charge. We email you that a bigger plan is needed, and moving up is your decision. If your team shrinks we will tell you a smaller plan is available; moving down takes effect at your next renewal.
6. Termination
You can stop using TaskShelf and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.
7. Disclaimers
TaskShelf is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskShelf LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Gujarat, India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
